My Nightingale blood sample collection and analysis

Blood sampling, centrifugation, dispensing and storage are carried out by the medical facilities.
The blood samples are collected by the diagnostic company and analyzed by Nightingale Health Japan laboratory.
The results report will be typically delivered within 1 to 2 weeks after blood collection.

• A fasting serum sample of about 1 mL is required.
• Please centrifuge and dispense into cryopreservation tubes within one hour after blood collection.
• After aliquoting, please store the samples in freezing conditions and hand over to the representative of the diagnostic company.
• Generally, the results report will be delivered by the diagnostic company within 1 to 2 weeks.

Step 1

Blood collection

Fasting for at least 10 hours is required before blood collection. Please use a special blood collection tube (vacuum blood collection tube for serum with separator made by Terumo Corporation).

Step 2

Centrifuging and dispensing

Centrifugation should be performed within one hour after blood collection, and the tubes should be dispensed for cryopreservation.
The centrifugation conditions should be organised according to the conditions recommended by the blood collection tube manufacturer or general guidelines.

Step 3

Storage and retrieval

After aliquoting, please store the samples in freezing conditions. A representative of the diagnostic company will come to collect the samples.

Step 4

Analysis

The analysis will be conducted at Nightingale Health Japan's laboratory in Tokyo.

Step 5

Report of the results

A representative of the diagnostic company company will typically deliver the results report within 1 to 2 weeks from sample collection.
